Plans and pricing

You only ever see the plans for your own academic level. Each level has a weekly and a monthly option, and each plan gives you a pool of tokens, a number of citation searches, and a weekly allowance for each tool.

Higher levels get larger pools, because a thesis chapter or a manuscript simply needs more room than a diploma report. Diploma is priced lower than undergraduate without being limited harder: for the tools both levels have, it shares undergraduate’s per-tool allowances.

Monthly plans give you four times the weekly per-tool allowance for most tools. See How tokens and weekly limits work for the two exceptions.

A monthly plan almost always gives you more for your money than four weekly plans would. If you know you will be working for a month or more, monthly is the better value. Weekly is there for a short push: a deadline week, or revisions before a viva.

  • No auto-renew and no card on file. When a plan expires, you simply buy again.
  • Payment is Mobile Money only, MTN or Airtel. See Paying with Mobile Money.
  • Changing academic level is locked while a plan is active.

You can buy a small top-up of tokens without starting a new plan. A top-up adds tokens only. It does not raise your weekly tool counters. If you are out of chapter uses rather than tokens, a bigger plan is what helps.

If you review other students’ work, as a supervisor or lecturer, Supervisor Mode has its own separate plans, available to Master’s and PhD accounts. It is not part of a student plan.
