Chapter Writer
The Chapter Writer drafts a complete academic chapter, thousands of words long and properly structured, from your topic and instructions.
Using it
Section titled “Using it”- Open Chapter Writer from Home (the Write stage).
- Pick the chapter: Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results and Discussion, or Conclusion.
- Enter your topic and your instructions: the chapter’s angle, the key arguments to cover, any sources to reference. The more specific you are, the stronger the draft.
- Generate.
Give it your own thinking first (Chapters 1 to 3)
Section titled “Give it your own thinking first (Chapters 1 to 3)”For Chapters 1 to 3 you must supply your own topic and your own notes before generation unlocks: a sentence or two about your research and what you want the chapter to argue. If you already did this when generating your outline, it carries over.
Length is set for you
Section titled “Length is set for you”You do not choose the length. ResearchDoom sets it from your academic level and the chapter type, for example:
| Chapter | Diploma | Undergraduate | Master’s | PhD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Introduction | ~1,200 | ~1,400 | ~2,400 | ~3,200 |
| Literature Review | ~1,200 | ~2,000 | ~4,000 | ~6,000 |
| Methodology | ~1,000 | ~1,500 | ~2,500 | ~3,500 |
| Conclusion | ~700 | ~900 | ~1,200 | ~1,800 |
(Words. Diploma, undergraduate and Master’s combine Results and Discussion into one chapter by default; PhD keeps them separate.)
It runs in the background, and it is recoverable
Section titled “It runs in the background, and it is recoverable”Submitting returns you to the app immediately while the chapter is written; a few minutes is normal. If your phone dies or you close the tab, the draft is not lost. When you come back, the app offers to restore the interrupted job.
Before writing, ResearchDoom checks whether your sources are sufficient and warns you if they are thin, rather than inventing references.
After generating
Section titled “After generating”Save it to a project, export to Word or PDF, or send it straight to Document Review.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”Your plan sets how many chapters you can write each week, and higher levels get more. Monthly plans get four times the weekly allowance. During the free trial you can write up to 2 chapters. Chapter drafts are one of the larger token costs; see How tokens and weekly limits work.
