Viva Voce Prep
A viva voce, or oral defence, is the examination where you sit before a panel of academics and defend every decision in your research. They probe your methodology, challenge your conclusions, and test whether you truly understand your own work.
Viva Voce Prep generates the questions a real examiner panel would ask, based on your research, and tells you where your answers are strong and where you need to think harder.
Available to undergraduate, Master’s and PhD accounts.
How it works: three screens
Section titled “How it works: three screens”- Setup. Choose the defence type, then give a topic and abstract, or upload your thesis (PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPT or PPTX, up to 25 MB).
- Conversation. The examiner asks questions one at a time, based on your research. You answer; it evaluates each answer and asks the next.
- Assessment. An overall verdict: where you are strong, where an examiner would expose you.
Sessions expire after 2 hours
Section titled “Sessions expire after 2 hours”Finish a viva session in one sitting. After 2 hours it is gone.
How it is billed
Section titled “How it is billed”- Starting a session uses one weekly viva use.
- Tokens are then charged incrementally: for generating the questions at the start, for each answer you have evaluated, and for the final assessment. A long session with many answers costs more than a short one.
- If question generation fails, the weekly use is refunded.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”Your plan sets how many viva sessions you can start each week, and higher levels
