From proposal to report
Chapter Writer is only part of the story. Behind it is a workflow that takes a project from a proposal all the way to a finished report, and it is built around one rule: ResearchDoom will not write up findings you have not collected.
Work inside a Project to use this workflow. The project holds your stage, your findings and your proposal text.
Proposal stage vs report stage
Section titled “Proposal stage vs report stage”- Proposal stage writes in the future tense: “the study will examine…”.
- Report stage writes in the past tense: “the study found…”.
ResearchDoom follows your project’s real stage automatically, and you can override it.
The data gate from Chapter 4 onwards
Section titled “The data gate from Chapter 4 onwards”In proposal stage, ResearchDoom will not draft Results, Discussion or Conclusion with invented findings. Instead you get:
- a structural preview of what each chapter will contain, and
- a data-sufficiency check that asks what you have actually collected.
The findings map
Section titled “The findings map”When you have your data, you confirm your real findings in a findings map. Then your results chapters (Chapter 4 onwards) are written from those findings. Expect a few minutes.
Tense conversion
Section titled “Tense conversion”Once you move to report stage, one click converts each stored Chapter 1 to 3 from future to past tense, or convert them all at once with batch convert.
Assemble document
Section titled “Assemble document”Assemble document stitches your chapters into a single proposal or report, with a References section, citation validation, and your chosen citation style.
