Your data and privacy

This is a plain-language summary. The Privacy Policy in the app is the full, authoritative version. Read it there for anything that matters to you.

What is collected

• Account and profile: email, full name, academic level, institution, field of study. Your password is stored only as a salted hash, never in plain text.
• Research content: the topics, prompts and questions you type, and any files or images you upload.
• Device and usage: app version and OS version (for crash diagnostics), weekly usage counters and token consumption (to enforce fair-use limits).

The policy states ResearchDoom does not collect GPS location, contacts, call logs, SMS, microphone audio, payment card details, or biometric data.

How your research content is used

Your prompts and uploaded content are sent to an external AI provider (named in the Privacy Policy) only to generate the response you asked for. Your account details and profile are not included in those requests. Per the policy, uploaded files are transmitted for processing and not kept beyond it, and active research and viva sessions are held briefly (about 2 hours) and then deleted.

ResearchDoom does not sell, rent or trade your information.

Anonymous analytics is opt-in

In Settings, the “Anonymous analytics” toggle lets you share which tools you use so the product can improve. In the app’s words:

Research content is never sent. You can change this anytime.

Payments

Payment is handled by a licensed payment processor. ResearchDoom does not store card or bank details, because there are none.

Deleting your account

From Settings → Delete account. It requires your password, permanently removes your account, research history and token balance, and cannot be undone. Server-side deletion is processed within 30 days.

One record is kept even after deletion: that your email address has used a free trial, so the one-trial-per-account rule cannot be reset by re-registering.

Your rights

The policy lists rights to access, correction, deletion, data portability, and withdrawing consent. ResearchDoom AI is for users aged 13 and older.
